Maidana ""Deserves" fight with Mayweather-Dumb

Nobody is saying he deserves it... he just has earned it more than Khan cus he beat 3 guys on losing streaks and a guy who twice failed to do much at WW.

When the other "choice" is Amir Khan, of course Maidana deserves the fight.

You should know by now boxing is a business not picking people because they will be competitive, Khan and Maidana both dont win a round

 

Maidana deserves the fight because he is the 3rd best Welter (ratings wise atleast) behind Mayweather and Bradley, Mayweather vs the top 5 at JWW/WW/JMW are all mismatches as a fan of the sport I'd rather see one of the greats fight even if him vs any of the titlist in three surrounding divisions is considered a mismatch than not fight at all.

 

Most people dont know **** about boxing especially on here, they'll get hyped by a fighters last win, and forget everything else have no concept of styles or technique at all.

 

So as an example the #1 fighter in a division has a choice to fight the #2 fighter or the #15 fighter both have the same chance which is none, the only difference in the outcome is one guy worked his way up to #2 and the other just has an interesting style (not a winning one just slightly intriguing) your ok with the #1 guy fighting #15 over #2

 

Who says Maidana has no chance and won't win a single round?

Maidana has decent skills and power, if he lands big on Floyd, the fight will become very interesting.

Since Mayweather came out of retirement to fight JMM, he has had 6 fights against top fighters. Of those 6 fighters, only Cotto fought to win, 4 fighters just fought to last 12 rounds and Ortiz was just a controversial mess.

You can guarantee that if Maidana fights Floyd, he will fight to win.

Yep, winning 5 or 6 rounds, battering your opponent and sending him to hospital is getting schooled on ESB. Maidana didn't get schooled vs Kotelnik either.

I don't believe he will land anything decent. Broner is not Mayweather... Maidana is tailor made for Mayweather... will be one of the most predictable fights of recent times.

The guy has won his last 4 fights at WW, and all of the WW's he fought were generally recognized as being top 10 in the division, including a big time victory in his last fight against a titlist who was considered by some as being a top 10 P4P fighter.

To be honest, neither of these guys deserves a fight with Floyd. Only guys that truly deserve it at this juncture are Bradley, Pacman and Martinez. They've been very dominant fighters for long periods of time and have been P4P stalwarts for years as well.

 

Maidana deserves the payday, also the other choice is Khan.. So yes he deserves it.

But if you ask me? Lara and of course Pac.
