Let's be honest here, Maidana has taken the "hard" way in his career from the get go. He always brings it 100% never ducked any one, never avoided any one, the fact that there is a disproportionate level of skill between he and Floyd, is not any one's fault. If Victor Ortiz got a shot at Floyd why not this guy? Besides he is a 147 title holder, that came off a dominating win off a guy who was poised to be the next best thing. I am glad Floyd is recognizing this and giving him the opportunity to provide for his family and himself a better quality of life. Haters can hate and criticize but you know as well as I do Amir Khan may have brought in some British Coin but other than self-promote himself on everything from Twitter to Facebook what has he done to "earn" the Floyd Lottery Ticket? Maidana may be far from a technician but win or lose he will go balls to the wall, what more can you ask of some body who risks their life to step in the ring? I agree with you, Khan is 2-2 in his last 4 fights, I mean come on, even his latest fight with Diaz was pants.
He did. And he didn't try to chase Floyd but just kept doing his thing which is a stark contrast from Khan, who was hoping and wishing to land the big fight and re-arranged his fights according to that hope. Now, he got no fight with Alexander or Floyd.
