I have just watched the Khan-Collazo and Mayweather-Maidana fights. Here are my observations:

I thought Maidana won the first 5 rounds and Mayweather won the next 5. The last 2 rounds were close but Mayweather probably edged them. However, I was pretty underwhelmed by Floyd, who I rate highly. Maidana gave Floyd a lot of trouble and Maidana has a primitive style to say the least. What would Duran or Armstrong have done to Floyd?

Secondly, who has taught Maidana how to box? He is so wild it's ridiculous! That looping overhand right is just a waste of energy. He has power but doesn't utilize it right. With all that said, he still gave Floyd nightmares, which either means Floyd is slipping or he's not as good as I thought.

Luckily, none of this will matter if Mayweather fights Khan, because I see no improvement in Khan. I was expecting a masterclass from Amir, but I just saw the same old Khan. Flurry, jab and hold. He still looks vulnerable and is still easy to counter. Floyd by TKO in 7 rounds.
