The Alexander, Kotelnik & Khan fights would go very differently second time aorund...and masterful old man Morales wouldn't stand a chance. Infact Alexander is the only guy who might stand a chance second time around just because he has an iron jaw and world class holding & spoiling tactics.

You realize Maidana was a long running "titlist" at JWW before he ever fought Khan I think Khan took Maidana's title in their fight. Hate on Khan and Alexander all you want but they've been in with and beaten better fighters than a lot of guys who are overhyped today. Maidana making Ortiz quit is a better win than anything on guys like Thurman, GGG's,Quillin, Brook record between them and Porter combined there best win is Porter over Alexander.

 

Sometimes all it takes is a dedicated and stubborn one-dimensional and aggressive fighter to trouble and beat a highly skilled/gifted fighter.

 

Maidana lost:deal, but he did give mayweather a hard fight. Mayweather excels when boxers try to out box him. Maidana didn't come there to box, he came to mall and mame and use every dirty tactic he could. After the 5 round mayweather switched gears and was clearly out boxing Maidana in the middle of the ring. He was also able to defend and fight off the ropes. Maidana came to win at all cost and came up short, plain and simple.

 

I don't think anybody ever said that Maidana was a great boxer. He is an excellent fighter. That is what he does best, fight. Garcia has developed some boxing technics in him but his fighting instinct is what carries him through. I have always liked him because he brings it every fight. What's irritating is the same people that were saying he wasn't ****, are now swinging on his nuts full time with no shame. That's weak.

 

Khans resume is full of past it 'names' in the USA like Diaz, judah, collazo,etc way past their best so you shouldn't even mention them. If they were from a from a faraway country with a funny long name people would be saying they were bums.

or feather fisted, average C level guys like Kotelnik, Malignaggi

A razor thin win against his mandatory Maidana is the only win that is slightly above average, yet Maidana has only won 1 world title fight!! say no more
