Maidana is'nt a bum, but I dont see where beating a hype job has earned him a shot to fight the consensus p4p champ.

Two years ago Maidana got shutout by Devon Alexander and now he's supposed to be a threat to Mayweather? :patsch

Also Maidana struggled against a past his prime Erik Morales with one eye.

I never said he was a threat to Money:nono
Look he has a very slim chance at giving Floyd any issues IMO.

Maidana has turned his career around and he deserves a big fight:yep

I also would like to see Floyd take more risk, trust me time is running out quickly, but again between Maidana and Khan.....Maidana has the fights, time and efforts in at 147.

I thought Guerrero was a bigger mismatch.

But Mayweather didn't look good in that fight. It seemed to take him awhile to land with any accuracy (save me the Compubox nonsense), even with the straight right hand. His worst offensive performance in awhile.

    Marcos Maidana:

    - couldn't win a single round vs DEVON ALEXANDER (!!!)
    - got beat from pillow to post by Victor Ortrees (before he pulled one of his patented quit-jobs), knocked down multiple times
    - lost to Amir Khan, almost got knocked out by a body-shot in the process
    - beat up on a couple of journeymen and gate-keepers (Karass, Lopez)

His biggest accomplishment is beating two of the biggest hypejobs in recent memory, something somebody like Jesus Soto Karass could've probably done also given the opportunity.

Marcos Maidana didn't transform into a top welterweight over night, he is still the same bum that lost to Khan and got schooled by DEVON FN' ALEXANDER!!!
