Maidana is going to get schooled vs Floyd.. fact is Broner was NOT 147 fighter yet

I don't think Broner is as hopeless as everyone thinks, he is a good fighter with a lot of potential. However he has been badly managed, they stepped him up in class way too fast. One minute he is talking about fighting Ricky Burns then they put him in with a monster like Maidana.

 

You see Blizzy, you're advice to Broner would make him take numerous ass beatings.

You would say, you need to improve your defense on the inside and stand in front of guys.

That's bad advice.

Every fight he's in is going to be a war, especially if his opponents are big strong guys that can punch and take a punch.

My advice would be, use your jab, take angles, walk around the ring.

That's how you make Broner successful.

You don't tell him to stand in front of guys and take ass beatings.

You're bad for his career.

Now, if you want him to fight at 135 and beat up little dudes, then you have a point.

That makes sense. Tell him to do that. But at 140 and 147, that's a good way to get your ass beat.

Broner doesn't have slugger power. A slugger can end the fight with one punch.

Maidana is a slugger/brawler.

Broner walks you down using basic hands up shoulder roll defense, a shot gun jab and quick combos. This did not work against Maidana who not only could take a shot, he could give one also.

Broner is moving down because the jump from 135 to 147 was a huge jump. A lot of posters here said he should go to 140 first before moving to 147.

He had SLUGGER power at 135.

NOT at 147.

His STYLE is what we are discussing. And obviously, he believed in his power and his STYLE as a SLUGGER enough to fight Maidana the same way he had been fighting the little guys at 135.

And he got his ASS WHUPPED because he couldn't adapt and couldn't box.

Being a SLUGGER failed.
