No but he got outboxed for 11 rounds by a guy he knocked down 3 times In the first round, :-(

 

Meh...Floyd just needs to open up more...too scared of Maidana's power in the first fight...Should have done much more work whilst Maidana didn't have him on the ropes.

 

hes always had problems with fighters who use intelligent aggression. judah had him confused for the first couple of rounds. once judah stopped being aggressive at the halfway point, floyd outboxed him. cotto is also another one who had some success using intellgent aggression as well as castillo in their first fight. the problem is most fighters cant do it for 12 rounds against him. if cotto was younger, he would have beat floyd.

 

Floyd opens up he opens himself up to bombs coming back which is risky with a heavy hitter like maidana. If floyd stays off the ropes all maidana has to do is start throwing out that heavy jab which was effective enough that even floyd complimented him on it after the fight. i think maidana is a style nightmare for floyd and in a rematch floyd is going to struggle again and i think could get beat like roy did against tarver.

 

That's a stretch.....any future fights will be in same venue with same outcome!!!

 

Same with De La Hoya.....he was dominating with pressure while using the jab. Once he abandonned the jab...Floyd took over!!!

 

Why so many threads on Floyd? He's the best in the game, get over it
