actually it was due to Alexander grabbing hold of him after every punch to make sure Maidana didn't get his shots off. and the ref just stood there like a lemon and let it happen.

that's why i give no credit for the "win".

You make a lot of good points here, K.

Just shows how totally useless Broner was, when a guy as bad as you describe, was able to kick his ass around the ring, floor him twice, ass-**** him and take his title. :yep

Many fans do not realize how much Maidana has improved since he has been training with Garcia................

It was a ten round bout.We all know why it was 10 instead of 12 and why it was held in alexanders backyard.

But not after the Alexander fight though, which everyone seems to be forgetting about. Marcos got completely dominated by a C+ fighter at best. Alexander ffs.. Maidana is decent, but not great.

WHAT? Did you even see that fight? Marcos did NOTHINg. Couldn't hurt Alexander, couldn't make any adjustments whatsoever. Marcos just got beat up for 10 rounds and wobbled a few times along the way by Devon ****ing Alexander dude. So what do you think was gonna happen in 2 more rounds? Marcos may have gotten stopped. What did the fight venue have to do with Alexandr repeatedly punching Marcos in the face? He was DOMINATED by Devon Alexander. I don't think people realize how bad that is.

Its in the past though, move on from it like Maidana has. Maidana would give Devon a much better fight in a re match because he has improved under Garcia. Its a bad style match up for Maidana though it has to be said.

On Current form Maidana deserves some credit and there's no need to always mention the Devon fight which everyone already knows was a really bad performance.
