i just rewatched maidana vs ortiz and cayo, for some reason the last few months i imagined maidana to be slow as urango or even margarito but watching these fights i saw he's actually got decent speed, obviously its not as fast as khan or pac or even a tim bradley but he is pretty fast.

also maidana has one of the best men in boxing, miguel diaz, diaz has been in training camps with the likes of pacquiao, floyd jr, miguel cotto and many many more, he will get maidana ready

man i cant wait for this fight.

He is slow, not as slow as those 2 and punches a bit straighter and has decent timing. He also knows when to throw the right punches and keeps coming and coming. The first KD in that 1 was definately a rabbit punch

I'm pretty undecided on the outcome a real acid test for Khan

HE is not slow. People need to realize that. I dont know if its denial or what but Maidana has very good speed for the power he packs.

Maidana has a shot in this fight but Khan just has too much skill.

To Relentless and PP, yes, that's what I've been sayin all along and ever since I heard of this fight taking place. Maidana is not a speedster, but in the Ortiz and Kotelnik fights it surprised me how he was able to land shots from a mile away and still found their marks. I don't know if it's his body positioning or foot movement in cutting off the ring I'd need to study that some more, but it seems to me he he has good timing. I've been noticing this on another puncher in Ponce Deleon recently too.

yeah in the cayo fight he was pretty precise too, he is very good at getting straight shots through the guard.

I've been saying for ages that Maidana is NOT slow.

Seriously, where did this myth come from? I haven't studied his footwork much, but I don't think his hands are slow at all. His punches can be wide, but he really whips them out. Khan is obviously faster, but that doesn't make Maidana slow.

And that shot at 2:05 Kon would not get up from that

guna be tough test for amirs concentration, defense, keeping it in the middle, being able to move in and out correctly everyy time, non stop maximum focus,it might seem the fight looks easy for khan, but it will be hard to make it look easy.

    maidans been down himself.

hes not the slowest or fastest ever.

i cant see him being able to close down khan though, khan will be able to keep maidana where wants him with fast flurries.

khan has worked on building his power, youle see his power and speed in this fight.
