Maidana has a nice lead right too. I think standing and trading with Maidana is the worse thing you can do against him and Khan will have to be fighting backwards being the bigger man and box circles around Maidana. Like someone else mentioned earlier, Ortiz seemed to be getting drained by Maidana's rough house tactics as hitting behind the head and some bodyshots. Khan needs to have an A+ performance and avoid Maidana's right like the plague in order for him to win. Khan won't be pulling a number like he did with Malignaggi in this fight. Khan seems more skillful because he's flashier, but I don't think Maidana's too far behind and I see it going down to a split decision for either one.
i'm glad maidana's with an experienced coach, diaz said he knows maidana is a slugger so he wont try change a thing at this stage of his career, he's gonna work ona gameplan with what he has. plus khans chin is below average, a clipping shot from maidana will hurt him, i want to see how he can stay away from maidana for 12 rounds, sooner or later you know he will land something!
khan wont give him the chance to land even one clean shot and even if he does it wont be enough, maidana doesnt have the time and skill to apply the pressure to khan
He's not as slow as Urango and Margarito, but he still ain't quick, and while he has decent handspeed, his feet are slow.
