Maidana: Khan Beats Alexander

Alexander would handle Khan, and I'd favor a stoppage.

 

I agree with Maidana. I don't see Alexander winning this fight; Alexander might even end up getting stopped.

 

Get stopped? Can't tell if your serious, but to clarify your position is Urango, Matthysse, Maidana, Bailey couldn't stop him, but you believe Khan would?

 

:good That's how I see it. He doesn't need a revamp, he just needs some tweaks, and Virgil knows that, it will just take time for him to get his identity and confidence back. Not sure what the setback between Molina and Diaz was.

It's not that Alexander couldn't land a hard left in exchanges, any of Khan's opponents with pop could have thrown with him and stopped him, but only 2 managed to do so. It's that he loses confidence and depends on his lead hand to measure the distance and throw with accuracy. He has a shot when Khan falls in to clinch Khan, turn him, and let go of a good combination, but he hasn't shown great timing against fighters who don't allow him the pace or space he likes.

 

Alexander's going to knock Khan out. Book on it.
