Maidana performance was far better then Mikey's

They want to manage and control what the "general consensus" is.

It's the old "make-believe game", with dollars at stake.

 

Wait, isn't expending a lot of energy a positive thing? I've always thought a good workrate was something to be proud of.

 

Not that he was ever a high energy fighter, but I do believe that current Broner has much more of a sparring partner mentality than the 2013 version did.

 

He won more rounds vs Maidana than Porter as well

 

It should have been a 8-10 point average across the board between Garcia & Broner.

 

I mean Mikey was more efficient. He won the rounds more easily. It's a matter of style and preference really. A good workrate can be impressive, but someone who needs to work half as hard or take half the risk to get a similar result is also impressive. Doing more with less is a sign of mastery.

 

Listen to what Maidana said about fighting Broner, listen to what Garcia said about fighting Broner. Mikey Garcia did the cleaner job and made it an easy fight.

 

Didn't Garcia throw close to 800 punches and land around 30 percent? It's not like he was landing at will. He landed clean and avoided clean. But in no way did he go and beat the daylights out of Broner like Maidana did.

 

Two totally different types of ass whoopings, but both ass whoopings nonetheless.

Who's was better just comes down to personal preference.

 

Very different styles. Maidana steamrolled Broner while Garcia outboxed him. Both showed big limitations in Broner and that "the problem" really isn't that difficult to solve.

 

I don't rely on punchstats because they're famously inaccurate. Nobody is claiming he beat up Broner as badly, re-read my posts.

 

Both thoroughly outclassed that overrated clown. No need to compare the two in terms of quality.. That said Maidanas was more pleasing to the eye. Broner was completely humiliated inside the ring and out.

 

Round 1 broner threw more but only landed 2-3 glancing jabs where Garcia landed solid, so no garcia won the 1st round. I told my dad I'd call him when the fight was over and I called him after the end of 3.

 

I think Maidana and Garcia did nearly the same damage but I think that Maidana landed harder and got the impressive knockdowns. Maidana was going all out whereas Garcia was only in second gear. It looked like if Garcia really wanted to he could have beaten Broner far worse than Maidana had, but he chose not to for some reason.

 

Weird how the ref immediately deducted a point from Maidana for a foul but refused to deduct a point from Broner for hitting Maidana after the bell.
