It was very close in their first fight. Khan got the decision, but it could have been called a draw.
I think had the fight gone two more rounds Maidana would have won, either by decision or KO.

That's the problem with boxing these days - fighters who win close fights tend to avoid the rematch. Makes you wonder why.

If he beats Guerrero, that feat combined with his performance in the first fight is enough to earn him a rematch, I think. Khan has improved, but Maidana has improved some things also, and there's no reason the fans wouldn't love this fight a second time around.

Khan will move up to 147 and if Maidana beats guerrero he'll chase the rematch up to welterweight as he said he might be moving up next year.

I believe that. Khan needs to fight Maidana, the first fight was close, Maidana deserves a rematch.

I would love to see another fight but Khan doesnt need it at the moment and has fought him already, so cant be considered as ducking but if Maidana follows him up, then perhaps, sometime towards the end of next year would be great at 147. Khan has nothing to gain from taking on Maidana next and at 140 but everythinng to lose.

khan wouldn't really have much to gain since he already beat him, especially too since maidana couldn't even take out eric

but i wouldn't mind seeing it

Don't agree. Khan was very fortunate to take a significant portion of Maidana's overall strength and stamina with the early body shot KD. That slowed and weakened Maidana for the rest of the fight. Odds don't favor another early windfall for Khan in that particular form or fashion. It would be just the opposite of what you're saying.

Maidana asking for a rematch? maybe he should stop ducking Morales before he starts asking for rematches.

I take it Marcos is planning a rematch with Morales, then.

Maidana said he would give Morales a rematch, I dont see why people would think he's ducking him when he's about to fight Guerrero which is a tougher fight IMO. If Morales gets past Matysse and Maidana gets past Guerrero i can see the rematch happening since Khan will move up and Bradley is still playing the lotto. It would be nice if Rios would get into this mix.
