you spew a lot of garbage . . . some of the stuff you say can be on point but must of the time you are just full of it. I have been around to see a lot of the ATG in action and Floyd plus Manny deserve a spot in their ranks. Different Eras need to use a different gauge on how to judge greatness because the sport has evolved so much. you cannot compare the sport today to the turn of the century . . . it would be like comparing apples to oranges. The skill level has been declining since the 80s but the two gentlemen I have mentioned deserve hi praise for what they have done.

If it was as blatant as you claim, he would have been called for fouls. It has nothing to do with "being an apologist," it has to do with "looking at reality."

And reality is, the man has a clean boxing record in regard to fouling. He does some dirty, grey area tactics, but so did every single great in history. Say what you want about Mayweather outside the ring, but the man has always been a true champion inside the ring and conducts himself very professionally.

Is Ali less great because he used to blatantly grab guys behind the head/neck? (An illegal tactic today) What about "The Mongoose" and his famous elbow block that Mayweather also uses today? Evander Holyfield is another guy who wasn't exactly "squeaky clean" inside the ring. And let's not even get into Roberto Duran. You did him any perceived wrong in the ring, and he might give you a straight shot to the groin. (Love that clip) Dempsey knocked out a man (Starkey) after hitting him low while the guy was complaining to a referee about Dempsey's foul.

I'm curious what your point is exactly? That Mayweather sometimes gets away with a possible foul? Yes, great..... And?

The point is pretty clear in the first post--as soon as Floyd starts fouling with his forearm, then Maidana should go full steam ahead and start fouling the **** out of him. That's the point.

Your assuming that Maidana is stronger then Floyd, because he would have to be in oder to follow your plan ..

In my opinion he is NOT stronger then Floyd and fighting dirty will only server to get him ****ed up by an old school fighter.

Floyd isn't weak. Thats a big misconception. He's strong on the inside. Punching Power and Physical body strength are not the same thing. As far as general strength he's no cupcake. If Maidana tries that ****, Floyd will win any way that he has to.

This only happens with fighter who are weak fighter on the inside. Hatton for instance would try maul Floyd on the inside by grabbing . Floyd would prevent this by putting up forearm preventing fighters from holding him on the inside or when fighter would try to keep him from escaping, they would resort to holding and trying to drive Floyd into the ropes.

And this is the main reason he wins most of his fight, by the time Floyd opponents figure out he is allot stronger then they are led to believe it is too late.. Most fans and fighters, believe Floyd's elusive style is due to his lack of physical strength on the inside buy the time the figure this out, they have wasted a great deal of energy try to him down, which allows his to take over the fight after round 4 or five.

The last fighter that tried to fight Mayweather dirty got KO'd, bad advise, Mayweather is a lot smarter and tougher than your giving him credit for.

Yes, it appeared as though Void had told his referee to keep Hatton from fighting on the inside until later in the fight. At one time the referee took a point away from Hatton for accidently hitting a ring rope......................Maidana, or any Void opponent, has to understand that Void can't lose a decision, it's impossible. Void owns Vegas..............

If Maidana gets into a rough and tumble dirty fight with Mayweather, he better be ready to sucker punch him because Mayweather will.

Mayweather may have lost a step... but Maidana doing this would result in a beating.

People forget that Maidana is pretty damn chinny too. Floyd is strong on his feet too so I doubt Maidana can bully him.

His best chance is to throw 1200 punches and hope to hell he can handle Floyd's counters and the judges are feeling corrupt.

Floyd is obviously slower. Saying he's as fast as he was 7 years ago isn't true. but he's still fast, he's smarter, knows the angles, and has the mind on his side. Maidana doesnt have a chanc e in hell against Floyd. Unless Floyd randomly gets old.

After watching Maidana fight Broner, I have come to believe that Maidana is a much smarter fighter than I thought he was. In fact, I think Maidana knows how to whip Mayweather - but I don't think he has the physical skills to do it.

I wish Mayweather would fight that animal Prodnikov. If Mayweather enjoyed figting Hatton, he'll just love Prodnikov.
