Read an article about Maidana a while back saying he ain't that sophisticated with his boxing skills, but as a fighter in terms of heart, strength, power he is top drawer. It says he finds a target and tries to punch a hole in it and that fans love him which is true. To say he is the worst world champion is ridiculous, very poor way to start a thread.

 

This might be one of the worst threads in recent years.

 

I wasn't basing the list on "best win." I factor in an entire career. Which Porter, shockingly for how some rate him, lacks depth in terms of quality opposition and solid performances against them as much as almost any titlist spare for the Strawweight slew and a few others.

 

Don't know if he's the worse champion currently because there are a few shitty ones.

That title is the biggest sham of a title in recent years though.

Senchenko bought it, and lost it to Paulie. Paulie retained via robbery over Cano. Paulie then lost a robbery to Broner. Now Maidana is selling it to Mayweather in an absolute joke of a PPV. Hardly an illustrious lineage is it?
