pillow gloves? This is such nonsense. Maidana's claim and his fans saying he should have won the fight. Some of these things make boxing what it is today with conspiracy talk or fixing. There are close fights in boxing and someone has to win. If a guy gives a champion a decent fight, somehow that guy should have won in today's boxing. And if a guy wants specific gloves and cannot use them, then the fight was somehow fixed against him also.

Conspiracy everywhere. Look at my posts prior to the fight and see what I predicted. Before I knew anything about which gloves they were. I don't care which one's he used, fact is Floyd was going to take over when Maidana slowed. Floyd won pretty convincinly. The rounds were not in question. Maidana won most of the first 4 and Floyd won the rest. I hope Floyd does not fight this guy again and fights Pacman or even Bradley. One Maidana fight is enough for me.

I was on the thread for the fight last night. Maidana fans were happy to say Maidana 4 and Floyd nothing. Then Floyd took over and they started to get discouraged and would give Maidana a round when Floyd controlled it and Maidana landed one punch at the end of the rounds. I knew they wanted that conpiracy or fix talk. Maidana should not talk bad about Floyd. Floyd handpicked him and gave him a shot at that bigtime in boxing. If I were Floyd I wouldn't fight Maidana again, but Floyd would rather have a predictable win than fight a legit guy like Bradley or Khan or Pacman.

Let's take that approach the gloves are like sparring gloves. Maidana spars with gloves like this all the time then why can't he pull out a win? This fight was not hard to score. Floyd won. Why are you guys trying to make it look like Maidana won? He lost. He slowed down after 4 and Floyd took over. Put this sort of energy into a fight where there is a real debate. How many ounces were the gloves? I do know that Hearns and Hagler and Duran always fought with 8 ounce Reyes which were considered punchers gloves.

why is anyone surprised by this? Did anyone here think floyd would not get his way and make maidana wear heavily padded gloves? honestly it sucks for maidana but if it were that big a deal he shouldve refused to fight. period!

 

Team mayweather knows that they got one of the judges in their pocket so they made sure there is no possibility of Maidana knocking Floyd.
