    maidana is overrated but mccloskey is'nt exactly sweet pea whitaker (not that you have to be as good as pea to beat some1 like maidana)

    Im irish and even i think Maidana takes this.

    He struggled badly against Prescott,and Prescott is basically a poor mans Maidana.

    yea ino if you cant put khan down then you have no power lol...serious tho i think he is really overated just because hes a slugger khan made him look foolish at times...i do think he might be a little much for mccloskey tho:good

    i think there is validity in this analysis, McCloskey is pretty adept at frustrating opponents and making them miss. Yes he was tagged in his last couple of fights but maidana lacks the natural tools of prescott or khan and they even found it frustrating at times with the dungiven fighter. Maidana has pretty slow hands and feet, and is wild as hell which makes it all the more likely that he will miss regularly. If you look at the khan maidana fight you will see that maidana gets very frustrated at one stage and begins to look both angry and dejected which shows that he can be taken off his game in these situations. It must also be stated that while McCloskey has struggled offensively in recent bouts he will be in against a guy who is much easier to hit against maidana. I think that McCloskey has a real chance in this fight for those reasons.

    Maidana takes a decision in an absolute stinkfest. Maidana will land on in the first couple of rounds and McCloskey gets on his bike and does everything he can to survive.
