the maidana that fought floyd/broner would kill Porter. but right now he's too fat so porter would outwork him.

id be all for it tho ive heard ppl say it would be a clash of styles?

I for one am now a fan of Porter ever since the Broner fight, seems like a respectful, thoughful young athlete with a great team behind him, love the father son combo too

such a contrast to the wannabe ganster-thug-rapper broner

I was gonna make a post about Porter after that fight but didnt, i think hes a credit to boxing and to America

Well obviously Maidana would be given time to get down to 147.

I do though ask myself how motivated is Maidana after them two pay days againts Money.

Looking at his physique not very. I also heard Thurman wants a part of Maidana.

With all the weight Maidana gained and all the time he hasnt trained i think he is going to have a tough time against any boxer.Probably he is not going to be the same that fought Mayweather /Broner and not even close to that version of him.Porter would probably outwork him pretty easy.

It's a picky fight right now considering Maidana is been out for so long

Maidana took his own heart and motivation in one hand, lifted it to the heavens...

...then ate it. One bite. And still hungry.

According to boxrec they are the same height and Porter has longer reach. I tend to believe this, they both look like midgets

Madonna is getting overrated these days., Porter is basically a- to b+ and Madonna is more like a B. Can't see Madonna hurting Porter and he only has a punchers chance.

    Works both ways....

    What has Shawn Porter done?

    jumps in with bumrushes.

Julio Diaz brought it to him

Edged D.Alexander by a couple of rounds with his bumrushes

Destroyed old man Paulie with the same tactics

Brook exposed him & picked him apart

Edged the highly overrated Adrien "got problems with low workrate no footwork" Broner only notable difference was his ability to control range and use the jab effectively - but again this could just be down to Broner being so damn horrible/

Have to rate Maidana higher at WW..... How the styles matchup will determine who wins this fight. But Maidana hits much harder than the folks Porter has faced recently.

Most would agree it's a good fight and a pick em' fight. nobody is saying one destroys the other.

Personally I think Maidana is finished...fun domestic fights in Argentina is what he might do before he fully retires or he will come to the big stage again sometime in 2016.

The bloke has 5 losses and one is to Alexander and it was very wide (ffs 90-100, 90-100, 91-99).

Porter beat Alexander with ease and ran the special one close.
I don't think it would be fair to Porter to make him an underdog tbh or even 50-50 for that matter
