Alexander. Maidana has proven to be a come forward fighter. Alexander is a bit more versatile albeit less polished. I will go with him and hope he wins.

I'm a fan of both guys so I really don't have a favorite here. I like the idea of seeing Madaina against the winner of Ortiz-Berto more than I do Alexander and there's probably a good chance that fight could happen so a Madaina win would be nice. Alexander is a rare Amercian fighter that draws crowds(in St Louis) so him winning is good as well.

I think this is a good fight and I'd lean very slightly towards Madaina winning but no matter who wins I would like to see Alexander in a non-controversial fight for a change if it goes to a decision.

Stylistically this is Alexanders fight and can put him back on the map, but if he can't take out Maidana hes in for a long night. Devon can be crafty and that uppercut can spell doom for Maidana, but Maidana can take a shot and his pressure can smother Devon especially late in the fight. Its going to be a good fight.

Maidana is 10 times more exciting than "It Burns, it Burns!!!", Maidana provides exciting fights and if he wins there's Maidana vs Ortiz/Berto which would be amazing.

I wouldnt say he was shot to **** he is now but he wasnt then he had just lost to bradley 2 fights before and come back with a ko. i reckon he will catch chino with that uppercut and when it does i think it will take him out.
i respect your opinion just not the way you dog fighters

Not totally inconceivable if Maidana forgets to mind his p's and q's and stupidly wades into something.

    Remember, people infamously said

    "Alexander KO'ing Urango :rofl"

Also, Maidana got put down by Ortiz whose power @ 140 was a bit overrated IMO (he could certainly whack some, but he was no LWW Shavers or anything).

I've always felt Maidana is a guy whose chin is good enough to get away with his rough-and-tumble mix-it-up style for the most part, but he's still susceptible to a good well-timed/well-placed shot. He also isn't in my view a good enough boxer to survive if someone more intelligent than Ortiz should hurt him. What he has going for him are two major attributes of Alexander's: He's an extremely wasteful and inaccurate puncher most of the time, and he's a ****ing idiot. :yep

Maidana is too slow and gets hit a ton ... I think he can be outboxed as long as Alexander doesn't give him momentum then he's in good shape.

I would love to see Matthysee fight Maidana ... he's a bit better skilled (boxing wise) and he seems to have more speed.

:good Matthysse is my #2 light welterweight h2h...which is to say I'd favor him to earn victory (if not necessarily get on the official cards) over anyone but Bradley.

That grudge match with Maidana is near the top of my wish list for him. A grudge match with Alexander is not far behind. :deal Maybe in Buenos Aires this time?

That would be huge ... HBO should put on a show in Argentina, at a soccer stadium that seats 50k + and let those guys get it on to see who's the best.

I also think that Bradley is the best 140lb fighter in the world and that he would beat Khan head to head. I also think that if Bradley moved up that he would beat Berto and Ortiz.

Maidana wasn't hurt, has good powers of recovery and combine the fact Alexander's power is overrated with the fact that he is so inaccurate, the chances of him KO'ing Maidana or even dropping him = very slim.

+ Ortiz hits harder than Alexander IMO.
