If it makes you sleep better.... he didnt suck as much as that fraud puto in your avatar.

Still, Gatti is one of the most overrated fighters in history. Maidana woulda beaten him quite badly.

Two very overrated fighters. Maidana's chin is pretty dodgy though, so that may be the difference in this hypothetical match.

Would be one hell of a fun matchup. I think at the end of the day Maidana's weaker chin would fail him though... Gatti by KO, but we've yet to see the best of what Maidana has to offer.

I fairness, on his best day Gatti showed better skills than he's being credited for, but he never was an elite fighter and more importantly, he never became a solid 140-er. Those he beat at 140 for the title were either not big enough themselves (Dorin, Leija) or simply not good enough (Branco). Size definitely played a part in Ward's success and Maidana is bigger, stronger, faster and despite an awkward style, he's far better than Ward who was able to land almost at will in 60% of all rounds in the trilogy. Maidana has a terrifying 93% knockout ratio and is an even deadlier (two handed) body KO artist. Chino's issue might be his chin, and Gatti could punch, so this is very interesting.

I just feel a solid, big, strong, awesome puncher like Maidana would be too much to overcome in a brawl, but the kind of boxing skills Arturo showed at 140 would not be enough to keep Chino off. In 10 fights I'm sure he'd catch Maidana a couple of times, but Marcos should be favored in this one, let's say he wins 7 times out of 10.

All I know is that if the event weren't called "There Will be Blood", the promoters should be fired. :deal
