    Just read in Dan Rafael's notebook that a proposed fight between WBA interim light welterweight champion against former WBO light welterweight champion ... TopRank has gave the fight a go ... and its waiting approval from HBO.

    Maidana is a fluke fighter who people are extremely overrating.

    Maidana beat Ortiz because Ortiz chose to slug with someone with a strong punch and iron chin.

    Holt can easily use his size and jab to a clear UD.

    You're implying that Holt will do the smart thing, I think we've seen enough of Kendall Holt to know he won't do that.

    We've seen him fail to do this against Torres in the 2nd fight and Bradley.

    Both times he tried to simply survive(not speaking for Bradley) and slug it out

    One more thing about Holt as mentioned by others, He falls in love with his right hand wa too often. He becomes a one punch puncher if he finds success with the right hand and that to me spells disaster against a heavy handed high octane fighter like Maidana.

    I like Maidana ... I think he can stop Holt, but my gut is telling me that Maidana will get out boxed like the way that Ortiz was supposed to do. The thing with Holt is he's tall, long and will zap the drama out of a fight if he needs to, just to get the win.

    Holt UD12 Maidana

    It'll be a great way for Holt to get back into the thick of things ...

    Another factor that will come into play is Holt's heart ... he's not as weak willed as Ortiz but **** ... in the same time Bradley took his heart away after getting knocked down early.

    i think someone will get kayoed

    Holt really has his back against the wall (coming off the Bradley loss)

    IMO Holt does better in those situations

    Holt is a monster for his weight class. I think he needs to get in shape.
    I got Maidana because I see power being equal, and Maidana's youth coming through.
