Kotelnik has already proved Maidana can be outboxed. Zab does the job over 12 for me. But of course Marcos has a chance with his power
All depends on Judah's legs , if his legs are still there i actually think he'd be more than a handfull for Maidana and if Maidana wasnt carefull he could end up on the end of a boxing / punching clinic . All the hallmarks would have Judah losing by stoppage , but if he could be mobile , use his ring craft and avoid damage early , he goes on to dominate Maidana IMO . Judah is genuine class ..........
Judah is not a 12 round fighter though, that's the problem. He doesn't have the mentality to go consistently box over 12 it seems. If he did - and his chin was a bit better - I'd have no trouble picking him. As it is, I think he has to knock Maidana out within 5. Which he's more than capable of doing.
Do you not think Judah will fade late on like he usually does? Or was that cause he was at WW? If that is the case that he would still fade I think Maidana could catch him.
I dunno. We all know that Zab is one of the best boxers on the planet for the first 4-5 rounds, and i wouldnt be beyond him to win the first 5 clearly. From then on, he simply has to nick two rounds off the backfoot. Sure Maidana puts him under pressure, but i still feel Zab can outbox him if he doesnt get caught
I think that Maidana can box alittle...maybe its not ideal for him, but I think he'll do it. Judah would have to be focused in this fight because Maidana can stand up to his punch. To win he'll have to be ready to outbox/out smart him for 12 rounds. He could do it though, but we just don't know which Judah would show up.
Judah is the better technician but Maidana isn't an awful boxer and he would out consistent pressure on Judah throughout. I can see Judah outpointing and even hurting Maidana early on, but he's sure to get some shots in all the same and discourage Judah with his power, giving Maidana openings to wear him down over time and eventually stop him late.
