While I don't think Margarito "unknowingly" had those wraps, and I don't think it was the first time, I also don't think that Mosley was the ONLY fight from that 03-09 period in which Margarito entered the ring with legal wraps.

Margarito takes a better shot, has better stamina, an absolutely insane workrate. He could be pretty relentless as he threw punches from different angles, often not even setting his feet. He could shorten his punches effectively.

He was a better fighter IMO and I would favor him to win

I think maidana is a better fighter but head to head margarito probably wins.

    Is this a joke?

Prime Margarito was one of the deadliest and most avoided WWs ever and a nightmare for everybody plus he really was a Middleweight at fight night. Maidana is a gatekeeper/bum career Light-Welterweight that got dominated by Devon Alexander.
Can you imagine what Margarito would have done to someone like Alexander? Career over.

Maidana would probably get seriously hurt or even die in the ring, no joke.

But I see Floyd is making a good job as always clouding your minds and pretending that average guy is a worldbeater...

Margarito is the better Welterweight of the two pretty clearly. He takes a better shot, had great stamina, great workrate, and quite a bit of size and length at Welterweight. Maidana has him beat on skills and speed for what it's worth, but the gap there isn't wide enough to compensate for all of Margarito's other advantages.

That said, whether Margarito has actually accomplished more than Maidana as a fighter overall is very debatable.

The only thing deadly ever about Margo was his wraps.

    His resume isn't impressive.

    What?

"getting robbed in his fight with paul williams (sic)"

^ Never heard that before, haha... Williams won that fight and I've never heard that tried to be disagreed with.

Cotto, Clottey, and Kermit Cintron X2. Yeah? That's some killer amazing resume that makes him a H2H monster that makes you a criminal if you think any fighter of the last 15 years defeat him! Including Paul Williams, who defeated him!

ya know what your right. Maidana has beaten the baddest of the bad. I mean look at his ultra impressive resume

97 year old erik morales- god damn i dont know how he survived that

glass jawed victor ortiz- maidana is a legend for this victory

jesus soto krass- how was he not nominated into the hof immediatley after this win?

welterweight Adrien Broner- Maidana is a killer for this win hes the real deal and totally earned the fight with floyd

His Losses? Pshhh they were all unfair

Khan Loss- he shouldn't of lost. that bodyshot kd was an optical illusion and never happened

Devon alexander loss- shouldn't have lost. maidana wasn't trying. If he would have tried it would have been a first round ko for the Great Marcos Maidana

yea beating cotto and clottey and sergio martinez is NOTHING compared to the killers maidana has beaten

    His resume isn't impressive?
    Are you fn kidding me?

    - unbeaten Sergio Martinez TKO7
    - unbeaten Kermit Cintron TKO5/KO6
    - unbeaten Joshua Clottey UD
    - unbeaten Miguel Cotto(e) TKO11

    Lets look at Maidana:

    - lost to Andrej Kotelnik
    - lost to Amir Khan
    - lost to Devon Alexander, not winning a single second of the fight
    - almost got blown out in 1 by quitjob Ortiz
    - arguably lost to an ancient and fat Erik Morales
    - best wins: Hypejobs Broner + Ortiz, gatekeepers Corley, Soto Karass, Lopez

Concreto kills Bumdana not only in the ring but also resumewise :deal

Other than not being a disgusting disgrace to boxing, I can't think of any advantage Maidana has other than maybe heavier hands. I don't think it would matter much as Margarito had an excellent chin and Maidana is far less skilled and talented than the fighters that either beat Margarito or gave him tough fights

Margarito will land those body shots on Maidana and break him down!
Amir Khan landed that beautiful body shot on Maidana and he went down! :deal

All of a sudden Maidana is this ''beast'' once Mayweather chooses them as an opponent.
