    Push the fight back a week or so, and it would give Maidana a chance to come in shape. I think it could.

    There isn't anyone else. :scaredas:

    Maidana just started training this week and he's known for 10-12 week camps. He won't be available until late July.

    I heard that he is likely to be the co main event on the Canelo PPV fight on 9/15 possibly against Holt if he wins in a couple of weeks.

    Oh so I'm guessing he wants to go back to 140? Damn.

    I was hoping Vic got the chance to smash him.

    He also started a training with a new trainer. I look for him to take one tuneup type fight first and I also don't see him going back to 147. Doubt Victor will do 140.

    Yup, he's going back to 140. He drains himself like crazy to make that weight but IMO he thinks that is where he can be effective.

    From what I understand, Ortiz plans on moving up to 154 soon so I doubt we will ever get the rematch.

    Seems the best suggestion thus far but remember that both are in between 140 and 147 according to their last fights so make it happen at 147 as long as Maidana who says his division is 140 agrees with. If not, that rematch will take more time in buiding it up.

    Not happening. Maidana already said so. He just got into camp with a new trainer a day or two ago. He'll have at least one 'tune up' under the new trainer and says he is going to stay at 140.
