I just read it in maidana's Twitter

"I thank god that Paul Malignaggi has the balls to fight me, something that others don't despite all they say and write" he wrote.

Paulie is taking it upon himself and trying to score another big fight on HBO. He's calling out a different fighter every day it seems.

I assume HBO isn't much interested in Paulie-Alexander and knows they would bite for Maidana so he's going there.

Wouldnt sleep on paulie. A good boxer could give maidana fits. Hes got a good jab, pretty fast, can box well. Paulie has also has a decent chin. He's been stopped but it never looked like he was hurt in the hatton or khan fight. Although the cotto fight he took a beating.

Not HBO main event worthy. I've got high hopes for Hersman and I'm expecting a higher standard of match making, specifically for a main event. Though, I have no problems with this fight if it's part of an undercard.

Maidana would beat the **** out of Paulie.... He doesn't have the punch to keep him off for even a second

    Thats a good fight imo.

Paulie (hate him or love him) has a big heart, good jab and fast handd. We saw that Maidana has problems with technical boxer ( Khan, Kotelnik), Malignaggi is not a guy who will stand in front and trade powerpunches with him.

    50/50 fight imo!

good fight if you ask me. Paulie will box Maidana for 12 rds..... question is what happends when maidana lands a good shot.... or how many will it take to stop paulie.... i dont think he can win a decision with paulie on his toes for 12 rnds

I agree Paulie could steal it on the cards
maidana has clumsy plodding feet and will get frustrated chasing
    paulie around the ring.

if paul jabs n moves and holds when inside
maidana doesnt really have the brain or skill to deal with the
    magic mans tricks !

as long as paulie dodges that looping right hook of marcos
but even if it lands i think paul can with-stand one big shot
at a time if he holds when hurt ?

paulie took the best from cotto / hatton / khan
    and stood strong !

maidana looked a slow against morales ?

    I'd give it to paulie 7-5 / 8-4 rds

    :thumbsup

Don't see how Paula stands a chance at 140.

    147, maybe.

If this happens Maidana destroys him and looks good doing it, and I'm a big Paulie fan (the guy's a total G).
