Who else, Ortiz, Lopez? Neither guy are anywhere near as tough as Bradley.

Prov's KO % is deceiving mainly because he's had relatively few fights (23) and so a lot of his UD wins came early in his career where he fought less rounds. Provodnikov tends to build on as the fight goes on, fighters can avoid getting KO'd by him for 6 rounds but a lot less likely over 12.

Also even if Maidana did hit a bit harder, it doesn't really matter. At the end of the day, I don't think Maidana's power is that big a threat to Prov, but Prov's power will most certainly put Maidana on his ass.

Prov had better keep his ass over at HBO and Top Rank cause Showtime, GBP, and TMT rule. Better fighters, Maidana would beat his ass in the ground.

Ugh! That fight would make me hurt just watching it! lol
I'm absolutely loving the dream matches that are being created in my head. The good thing is that most of these guys are with GBP. We will see most of the match-ups we want! :D

Man the amount of fights that can be made in 2014 is amazing, That would be epic, also imagine Maidana vs Matthyse, Garcia vs Provodnikov, Garcia vs Maidana, Matthysse vs Garcia 2. Seriously i can't remember a division being this exciting, add to that Pacquiao and Mayweather and Bradley, although i no many fights get stopped by the cold war but God How Stacked is 140- 147 right now!

I doubt Top Rank will let Provodnikov slip away. They will give him Marquez next but they'll make him sign a multi fight contract first.

Wasn't aware Provodnikov was almost free of HBO. That's great news. Hopefully Bob makes that last fight against Rios.

When Provodnikov goes to Golden Boy, I need to see him against Matthysse, Garcia, and Maidana. Hell, Broner and Khan too because I'm sadistic like that. Him going to Golden Boy next year would be a huge power shift even though he isn't a top draw/name. He makes a live B-side in any fight you put him in, problem being that he'll win and become an A-side with no real fanbase.

    2014 Provodnikov dreamsheet:
    Rios
    Matthysse
    Maidana
    Garcia

If we get 2 of those it'll be sick.

This is what worries me. If it comes down to it he should take that fight for almost nothing if it means avoiding a new contract. He really has nowhere to go with Top Rank aside from a 5-fight series with Bradley...Pacquiao's on the slide, Marquez is on the way out, and he's vastly superior to Rios and Alvarado. Long-term, he's much better off with Golden Boy and Showtime and his people need to take that into account:

    TR
    Bradley
    Marquez
    Pacquiao
    Rios
    Alvarado

    GBP
    Garcia
    Matthysse
    Porter
    Maidana
    Thurman
    Mayweather
    Khan
    Broner
    Malignaggi
    Ortiz
    Guerrero
    Alexander

And that's why my money would be on Provodnikov in this match-up.

Provodnikov is one of the most exciting fighters in the game right now, how can he NOT attract a massive fanbase with the style and heart that he has?

Fanbases typically come from ethnic groups: African-Americans, Filipinos, Puerto Ricans, Mexicans, French-Canadien, and British. You aren't in one of those groups, you need to really beat some big names, learn English, and be mad cool to get a fanbase, and it won't stick with you if you lose.

I consider myself a fan, but it's not like the Siberians are gonna be out in force for every Provodnikov fight.

Yes and this is exactly what I was getting at in my last thread which was deleted, that different races of fans are HEAVILY invested into boxers of their own race to make THEM look good and when their racial "heros" lose their fragile egos can't take it and they resort to tearing down boxing champions of other races, it's all a pathetic and insecure type of thought process, regardless of race, a champion is a champion and they deserve respect.

Nah. Maidana is bigger/stronger than Prov.

Maidana by TKO in a war.
