MAIDANA VS. RIOS : Who Wins?

Maidana is the most overrated fighter on esb.

Rios is the more conventionally skilled swarmer, but I'd bet on Maidana to land something dramatic that ends the fight. Wouldn't be surprised either way though.

 

Maidana would do better against Rios than Devon, styles make fights. If this fight was made Rios would be made favorite but i think Maidana would enjoy this kind of match up.

This would be an all out war, i have no idea who gets knocked out but one of them does.

 

Rios has a better "defense" IMO. Rios TKO.

 

Rios. A year or two ago I would have said Maidana, but he seems slightly past it to me now, I think all the punches he's absorbed with his limited defence is catching up to him.

Maidana stops him in 6-7 rounds in a war.

Styles make fights and Rios is made for Maidana. Both of them like to mix it up and make things a war, Maidana can take a shot.. is stronger and hits harder.

 

People on here say Maidana is overated. He might be, but Rios is the most overated boxer on this site.

if maidana is anywhere near his best, he would win this - rios isn't that good, maidana when in shape has got some skills, you don't become a successful amateur fighter without them, he has jab which is totally overlooked (vs khan), he has also great short punches (vs ortiz), maidana was out of shape and flabby vs devon and he also was made for dv style wise

 

Maidana is frankly **** at 147. He's even slower and his punches seemed to almost lack the snap behind them that he had at 140, his work rate also took a hit. I was not impressed with him at all vs Alexander.

 

Just saying Maidana tends to strugle against better boxers like Devon, Morales, Kotelnik and fighters that move a lot in the ring like Khan.

I dont think Rios has that much of advantage concerning boxing skills "per se".

Maidana would be landing those raw power bombs on Rios all night long, he would stop him just like he did to Ortiz.
