Similar styles great KO records....Not sure. It would be a great fight though! I say Maidana! Only for one reason. The kid has got a beard....even though he went down he was never....NEVER really hurt! Ed has been down and has been hurt by a far less powerful puncher. But I think Ed has more skills....skills he fails to use out side of sparring.

 

Edwin on points? Maidana doesn't seem that hard to knock down and has only gone the distance I think once! Valero has never come close to going the distance!

Way too early IMO. I want to see Valero take on another good fighter at 135 before we start putting him up against somebody who's been in there against tough dudes like Ortiz and Kotelnik.

Lemme see Valero against Rolando Reyes or a Julio Diaz or a Michael Katsidis or even Casa and then I'll get back to ya.

 

Im picking Maidana based on Maidana's chin can take nuclear punishment and still comeback.
