the fat old version that was launched airborne and out of the ring by a crispy left hook compliments of Danny Garcia.

I love Maidana but come on man..........he is coming in on a wing and a prayer.

we are talking fat old washed up Erik with the tubby midsection and the noodle arms Mcginty look, with one eye closed for 12 rds..... The travesty of it all.

    "schooled?"

    That is agenda-driven.

It was a close fight. One the majority believes Maidana won.

    But he's a champion.

The same fighter you are describing in Morales was a good description of the last guy Pac fought. But nobody complained about that fight and dude wasn't even a champion or even in that weight class or on the P4P list......

    I agree..

People call Morales an ATG/HOF right? I don't but believe he is an ATG but he's a HOF for sure and one of the greatest fighters to ever lace them up but he isn't in the Pantheon of ALL TIME GREATS, to some he is. But if many feel this way then its not out of the real of possibility that even an old ATG/HOF would be able to beat a crude fighter with just power like Maindana?:huh

Lol I actually forgot about this fight. past it fat Morales came out of retirement to fight in a weight division hes never fought in to give Maidana a really close fight.

Lol says it all, Maidana is a bum.

Mayweather - Maidana is gonna be silly fight, Maidana is gonna looked lost the whole night, I feel sorry for him he usually has a bewildered look on his face anyway but no amount of money is gonna compensate for how **** and useless and slow hes gonna look against mayweather, biggest mismatch of recent years, Mayweather is way too good to be fighting a guy like this, Mayweather as boring as he is is just far too good for anyone not in the top 3 or 4 of their division.

could have gone either way. The point is this was a way past prime totally above any weight he should be effective at Morales who was able to almost beat Maidana because of his pedigree.and the excellence of his craft; He was able to go hammer and tongs with a younger bigger stronger guy because not only is Morales skilled but Maidana is crude with a ton of guts and all the heart in the world but lets be real here....and the victory over Broner, well Broner isn't really all that special either, Ponce Deleon put it on him and so did Malianaggi,,,,,,,give me a break
how is the truth agenda driven?

Skills win fights, not power or size. Morales was old yes, washed up yes, past his prime yes but he is still a skilled fighter. Maidana was younger yes, stronger yes, in his prime yes, but he is still a crude boxer with average technical boxing skills. Also how many weight classes has Morales moved up? If Morales was in his prime he would've beat Maidana pretty badly.

Maidana is what he is, the fact that an old Morales gave a fighter in his prime a tough challenge is a testament to the skill of the future Hall of Famer Erik Morales.:good

8-4 to Maidana, Morales had his moments. Maidana came into this fight not in great shape and expected to walk through the old man. Morales had one last great performance in him and he was probably on something as well.

Not a great Maidana performance but he won, and it was 3 years ago at LWW. Totally irrelevant.

Im just saying Rios in his prime is just as washed up as an old Morales. Is this not true?:deal

The only thing a Prime Rios has on an old Morales is youth, Morales is better in every area of boxing.
