This fight comes down to Khan being able to take at least 2 hard punches and being able to hurt Maidana in return. Else Maidana brings it to him all night.
Pretty much anybody at 140 who is foolish enough to brawl with Maidana is going to take a beating. He's a take 3 to land 1 or 2 type of fighter. Khan's best chance is to stay on the move, at a distance, and keep a good stiff jab in Maidana's face all night. Khan can out box Maidana, but he cannot out fight him. Uncle Rico summed up the details quite nicely.

You silly little negative man. Let me squash your pathetic and uneducated theory in a few paragraphs. I am from Britain. I followed Khan from the olympics. Then have watched every pro fight from then to current date. I also travelled 4 hours to see him fight for less than 2 minutes vs Salita. I also am considering travelling from to uk to watch him fight Maidana. He is my fave boxer (No that does not mean i think he is the best) and i know pretty much everything about his career and how he has evlolved as a fighter. Hence why the thread asked nothing about Khan himself. So if thats not a massive fan please elaborate on what is. And i actually have just taken up boxing myself. Are these the actions of a Casual fan? And for the record I think not knowing about Maidana is nothing to be ashamed of. Its not like he is even a big name in the U.S, let alone the UK. Hence the reason why Khan is making 1.5 million and Maidana is making 550k. Also Do you expect me to know ever fighter from every country? You need to gather eveidence before you start running you pathetic mouth. Ok so you know everything about Maidana..... Tell me something about him that no one else has covered that answers one of my questions. You just got verbally cooked.......How does it feel?
You just reinforced his point. You're a Khan fan, not a boxing fan. Which is fine, that sort of thing usually leads to becoming a real fan over time. Hell, I was a huge Calzaghe fan before I was really a boxing fan. But yeah, part of being a fan of a certain fighter is doing your research on his opponents. A lot of Maidana's fights are on youtube and you can easily watch them if you want to know about him. Christ knows they're more exciting than most fights anyhow...
Maidana is gonna make sweet love to Khan come fight night, like really sweet love, Khan is gonna scream like a tennage girl getting deflowered, thats all you need to know
Khan will eat Maidana for dinner. That ****** will feel the wrath and speed of Khan. **** it, I'm gonna go to the U.S for this one.
It's completely different. Pac is a bonafide ATG and the best boxer of his generation. That's like how people who didn't really follow basketball were still fans of Michael Jordan, or how people who don't really follow golf are still fans of Tiger Woods. You can't say the same about Khan.
I don't see that and I'm a fan of Alexander & Kotelnik. He looked like he couldn't come up with an answer through AK's defense. Khan beat Kotelnik better and much more clearly I admit that.
When Khan won silver in olympics there was big jump in the number of ppl joining boxing clubs in the uk Khan is good for boxing IMO:good
Not really. I box 2 times a week and live for boxing. As stated before how can these be the actions of a casual fan. I just know little (not nothing) about Maid as he has had little or no exposre over here. I think the fact that i am doing my research alone proves i am a fan and student of boxing. I guess coming on the most negative boxing forum ever was the worst place to ask about a fighter i wanted some help with. It was a simple question and i just wanted people opinions to help form my own theory. Grow up.
