I am not a Khan hater at all. But, for the most part the second half of the fight he pretty much fought scared and ran away. Maidana brought everything he had. He pushed the fight, had to chase Khan around and roughed Khan up on the inside.

Post fight Khan's face was a mess. Maidana really ****ed him up good with those crisp uppercuts and massive over hand rights!

Maidana fought like an absolute beast and IMO raised his stock and won the event even if he slightly lost the fight on the cards.

Sorry, you never really win the event when you lose. You still feel like ****.

Maidana isn't some journeymen in there with no shot, who get's props for surving, he's world class. He ****ing lost, end of story.

Khan tried to act macho and made some mistakes which almost made him pay - he is far from the finished article yet. But boy, has he learnt a lot from this fight. He's only going to get better.

We can all look forward to exciting times for this division.

Sure you can win the event and still lose in a close fight. Maidana gave better than he got tonight. He dished out more punishment then he took. Not only did he survive he beat Khans ass pretty badly.

Lucky for Khan he had that very sweet liver shot in rd 1 and Cortez to deduct a point from maidana, otherwise this fight might have gone otherwise. The fight was very close and one man was a brute punisher and the other ran away and tried to land a few flashy shots.

    Event, maidana win!!

Maidana is a tough as nails guy but hes doesnt have world classs skill, his heart, determination, and power is why he got to where he is. A world class boxer is supposed to win a decision if it goes to the cards. It was a good win for Kahn, but he fought Maidanas fight for 4 rounds or so and that shouldnt have happened. He was brilliant in spots, but he showed a lot of defensive flaws and problems with discipline imo. His ring gerneralship wasnt immpressive to me. He was only in command the first round of the fight and anly for moments the rest.

Maidana landed his best shot and didnt put Khan down.

Khan landed a body shot and Maidana couldnt help but go down.

Lets talk about wether Khan has a glass jaw,or if Maidana is not such a great puncher as his record indicates.... remember Khan had a glass jaw before the fight...and Maidana was going to beat him no questionas asked?

hats off to two fighters who stuck to gameplans for at least half of the fight:hey

    Nice job reading my post.

world class BOXERS rarely ever lose on points to limited fighters in skill who got to the top mainly because of raw power and heart. It does happen but its usually by knockout. This was no exception, but Kahn should have won some of those middle rounds before the tenth if he kept better composed.

I agree is was a very good fight. khan looked good early and maidana took over late. I dont think Khan was as impressive as i thought he would be. Maidana on the other hand was a very tough, determined guy and like i said, he gave better than he got in this fight.
