Maidana did win. Half of winning a round is being the effective aggressor. More often than not Floyd was backing up and using his jab more than he does with most opponents. Maidana would swarm him and throw odd ahots and last time I checked body shots count as hits. My only regret for Maidana was that his overhand right didn't land as much. Floyd never looked totally like himself until the second half of the fight. Maidana basically had the formula to disrupt Floyd. To me, Maidana won the first 6 rounds, Floyd won probably the next four rounds while it was a toss-up with the last 2. i-It's the Floyd bias that's been prevalent in boxing nowadays. Effective aggressor is effectively defunct criteria.
Maidana, Castillo, Cotto, all exposed him and showed he wins only by ducking the bests. He's just a cherrypicking hypejob. Pacman and Bradley would embarrass him and his 40 punches at round. Maidana simply walked through Floyd's shots, and he didn't even have a bruise. Broner looked way more powerful and hurting than Floyd.
Floyd won, if you gave all the close rounds to Maidana then maybe a draw or a very, very narrow win. I had it 8-4 to Mayweather. I had it even after 8 rounds but Mayweather just pulled away in the last 4 rounds.
People hate Floyd so much that they have to declare a close but uncontroversial fight like that a loss....sad. It really isn't a hard fight to score, 8 - 4 Floyd but I guess the shock of seeing Floyd lose 4 rounds is cause for a hater circle jerk. But I remember Oscar and Cotto only winning about 3 or 4 rounds and haters declaring those fights robberies to...now if you stitch the Maidana, Cotto, De La Hoya fights together you may find 7 rounds Floyd loss for a fantasy defeat!!
lol the first line of your post made me laugh because when i opened the official "who won the fight" poll and it had floyd ahead i knew i watched the right fight. so many people voted with there hearts not there brain its amazing how many people that watched the fight with me scored low blows , blocked shots , and more amazingly PUNCHES TO THE BACK OF THE HEAD.. i mean i guess its effective aggression but its against the rules lol.. how many points did they give maidana for his muay thai knee ? or mayweathers elbows

Here we had a guy fighting the Castillo style against Mayweather and he still loss, Floyd detractors must be wondering what now?
I'd be cool with 6-6 draw. Gotta watch it again but had maidana sweeping the first 5 and took the 12th. Lots of close rounds.
