I'm not so sure it would be over so quickly. I'm pretty sure Khan will throw 1-2 punch combos and get out of there and dance a lot around the ring. If Khan goes for the kill it could spell danger just like last night. I think Khan will box clever, it's just a question of sustaining it.

I think it's a 50/50 fight. Maidana can only win by KO, Khan could win by decision or KO.

You think Khan will get himself involved in a shoot-out with Maidana?

Last time he done that with a big hitter he got sparked against Prescott. You can't tell me Maidana is less skilled than Prescott. The Colombian may have reach on Maidana but that doesn't come into play if Khan danders into the inside with Maidana.

I would expect Khan to back-foot this fight, and go for a UD or a mid to late rounds stoppage, depending on how successful he is on the outskirts and if he has good power at LWW.

Thats exactly how I see it D-Mac. Theres no way Khan will go in all guns blazing, he'll be on the back foot, using his reach with his ear muffs on.

Nah not in the sense Khan will go to war, I mean a shoot out in terms of who lands power punches early will win.

What I'm trying to say is I don't think it will last long because when Maidana tastes a right hand counter he'll be hurt by it IMO, the Ortiz fight suggests that. Ortiz probably has more natural power but Khan's handspeed will make a difference too. It's okay marauding forward against the Kotelnik's and Cayo's who seem to have little power but handspeed and power is a combination that will be bad for him because once he's stunned he has no defence. He's the perfect candidate to be caught cold.

And if Maidana lands good shots he'll probably KTFO Khan too.

Maidana is open to the same combo Salita got caught with the straight left right hand, and if Khan caught Maidana with the same shots he got Salita with then Maidana is going down. But i do think if anyone at 140 lets Maidana land clean it could be lights out, but Maidana is much more readable with them looping hooks. Khan would land and get out before Maidana can get his power shots off.

I don't think Maidana is that readable, his lack of technical nuances make him quite an awkward proposition IMO

Glad it ain't too busy this morning, worst thing to hear when your heads about to explode is lorry engines and ******ed lorry drivers.

Already heard this morning (in response to a comment about Calzaghe to a Welsh driver)

'I know he's messed up, but he's the greatest boxer of all time; no one can take that away from him'

    :rofl

Khan would do that early but if they had any sense by round 4 or 5 when he's timing Maidana he should look to end it. Infact he should try to end it as soon as possible but not in a reckless manner, still boxing sensibly but put some real meat in the shots.

If the Kotelnik fight proved anything about Maidana it is that he can go 12 rounds at a good pace and he actually gets quite dangerous late on. He hurt Kotelnik late on (not sure which round) which is not easy to do. Khan's movement does slow down, Kotelnik got closer later in the fight, that is inevitable for any fighter that they'll tire and slow down and you don't want Maidana to still be there when you do.

listening to the interview Khan gave to boxing mundial....makes me think roach has turned him into a manufactored fighter....Exactly, what roach said about hatton under floyd, sr....

I was leaning towards Khan outboxing Maidana, but know i'm convinced Khan gets stopped...
