Does anyone here know how many pound less Maidana is trying to come into the fight? I hope it's no more than 5 pounds. I re-watched Alexander vs Maidana and he was hurt a few times in the late rounds. I think the heavy weight vs Mayweather allowed him to push Floyd around and take solid punches. I'm also wondering why tell him to go all out from the start of 1 to 12 that **** is almost impossible to do without getting tired. Even Haglar took subtle breaks. Someone help explain Garcia's adjustments.
I heard Garcia say he wanted Marcos about 10lbs lighter on fight night for the rematch, which would put him in around 155 (as he was about 165 for first fight). I think him being lighter will make the fight easier for Floyd. In the 1st fight, Floyd really wasn't able to out muscle Maidana that much, which he is usually able to do. Maybe Maidana works the jab a little more this fight, but what can he really do, other than try to hurt Floyd and/or just keep Floyd as ucomfortbale as possible? I can see Floyd stopping Maidana in a Mayweather/Hatton type of performance. Should be interesting! R/
