He was gassed by the 7th round. I know the body shot took a lot out of him but still, when he had Khan on the opes n the 10th he just didnt have the fitness to finish him, there was no power left in his punches. Can't question his heart though

Not taking anything away from Khan BTW

He had enough to go for the kill. He shook khan with his power in the 10th. After a flurry if it didntwork. e looked tired and needed the rest of the round to recuperate. With the body shot he recuperated after a round. Khan looked lost in 11 and 12 after he was caught in the 10th

disagree. He was winging shots all night and still going strong, even if he gassed a little, with those wicked bodyshots its not an indicator of poor stamina.

That beautiful body shot Khan landed in the first rd, Sapped Maidana tremendously.

Yeah, I gotta disagree as well. He was still strong enough going into the 10th, might have punched himself out a little bit, but that's no indication of his fitness. Especially after that wicked body shoe he took in the first round.

This. It's amazing that he was able to recover and turn it into a real fight.

That body shot probably took away some of Maidana's punching power as well.

He did well to come back from that body shot and was still chasing Khan round the ring at the end of the 12th. He looked gassed at times, staying on his stool when the round had started, but somehow always managed to find a second wind. Thought his stamina was pretty good personally.

i don't think he gassed, i think those body shots early in the match slowed him down, but he recovered from in couple of rounds, i think we are going to see some more grreat fights with him, i wana see maidana v alexander

I think people underestimate the tempo that the fight was fought at in the early rounds and on top of that Maidana would have been affected by the body shot !

that fight was fought at a tremendous pace last night so I think you're comments are bit off the mark.

Maidana kept coming last night, that body shot would have finished many a fighter last night - the shot was right on the ridge of the rib cage and that ****ing hurts.

I don't know that it was terrible, but he seemed to run out of gas a few times. Of course, that could be due to the beating he took early, especially the wicked body shot that dropped him. I also think the fact that he was throwing haymakers all nite didn't help in that regard.

**** off, his 12th round surge was incredible.

And as has been pointed out to you, getting hit on the body repeatedly takes it out of you.

If you think Marcos came in out of shape... you have clearly never boxed before.

Both these guys are not that great, that's what it is. Maidana is too limited and wings too many shots and tires himself, he's slow too. Khan's chin is still not good imo, and his power is not great either. Maidana is just too slow and for him to catch someone with a punch the don't see is difficult, or to catch them when they are throwing. I wanna see Khan vs someone who can punch him while his punching and has speed of his own. But I don't think much of guys like Alexander either, he was getting hit at will vs Urango and he got a gift vs Kotelnik.

All these guys in 140 are not THAT good.

Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against these 2 guys, they have a lot of heart and determination.
