You hold exessively like floyd and use your forearms like floyd, then you get headbutted like floyd

Right up there with the Dirrell faint against AA.

Maybe Broner could have a career as a football player. This acting could lead to red cards and penalties against his opponents.

Dirrell was legitimately hit full force when he was down and defenseless. Broner's excessive holding got him butted during yet another clinch and besides that it was likely fair payback for all the elbows and forearms that Maidana was forced to eat in the preceding rounds.

Funny enough, rewatching it, I now actually see it more as Maidana trying to pull his arms free to throw that hook. Ok, it mighta been a little dirty but I see it as more a clash than a deliberate butt - more like Maidana not caring that Broners chin might be in the way than him trying to butt it.

Broner glancing at the ref, then crumpling and rolling round on the floor like he'd been pistol-whipped on the nose was special tho:- I can't remember a hammier piece of ring theatre off hand.

Looked more like he shifted his whole body up to release his arms to me. Not a point deduction IMO. If thats a point deductio then Broner should have been deducted a point for excessive forearms and pushing.

I agree, it should not have been a point deduction. Maidana was trying to free his hands that resulted in him clipping Broner's chin. They both should have been warned simultaneously. Excessive holding and inadvertent contact, respectively.
