It amazing people on here actually saying Maidana has a solid chin :patsch did they not see his fight with Ortiz? those were hardly thudding shots he was hit with just clean connects and he was dropped by them sadly for Ortiz he has a glass heart, but I can see him being dropped early against Khan if he gets too gung-ho, which will result in him playing catchup opening up his **** defense even more resulting in a late TKO or KO

What are you saying. Maidana has a bad chin?

His chin is good, those shot's from Ortiz were flush, hard, and thrown by a huge puncher. The fact that he didn't get knocked out shows us he has a quality chin.

Maidana got hit with flush bombs from a hard puncher just to get up and demolish ortiz.

I think he proved his chin is good.

Marquez aint been knocked out either, but no one is going to say his chin is quality, Maidana by no means has a glass jaw but it's definitly shaky similar to Trinidad who also had a shaky jaw but was always a world calss talent who managed to win even when he was knocked down untill he fought a fellow ATG who was able to finish him.

Wait...did you mean to say EVERYONE who knows him is going to say his chin is definitely quality? ...I think that's what you meant. :huh

Edit: You DO mean Juan Manuel Marquez, right?

Maidana definately has question marks against his punch resistance. Not necessarily all 'chin' as such, but he can be very wild when throwing and hence leaves himself open and off balance.

Khan has better speed and better accuracy than Ortiz and Maidana is very liable to get hit with something he doesn't see at all.

    Maidana's chin is solid.
Ortiz is arguably the hardest hitter from 140/147lbs, IMO.

Based on the assumption that many people would agree Marquez is not granite chinned, and yes Juan Manuel.

:patsch So, in your mind there's no difference between granite and quality? It's completely obvious to anyone who has any grasp on the subject that Marquez's chin is very high quality. There's absolutely no argument to the contrary. Because there's no case.

Just because he's got a lot of heart does not mean he has a "very high quality" chin, i've lost count of the number of times he was dropped, it's just something he does not have. Trinidad didn't have the best chin but it didn't stop him from achieving great things, but facts are facts.
