Vlad "The Wrecking Ball" Sirenko is literally a 1/100 favorite. Midwestern glass cannon Brandon "War Machine" Carmack is a 20/1 underdog. The draw pays 27/1.

Main event is on paper itself a mismatch but still a good deal more competitive:

Sloppy hookfest. "BamBam The Outlaw" getting the best of it.

Terry LaMichael Roscoe - who is 3-25 with 14 of his losses and none of his victories coming by stoppage - is unwisely attempting to brawl and consequently getting whooped by this crazy white boy.

 

Clarke won via TKO3, been a few more bouts since.

 

Vladyslav Hennadiyovych Sirenko vs. Brandon Scott Carmack, 10 rounds @ heavyweight

 

Round 1

Carmack had a good first minute or two, meeting Sirenko jab for jab and carrying his chunky 287½lb girth (good for a whopping 40¼ lb of mass on the Ukrainian - both men are 6'4", btw) with a modicum of agility while they circled and fenced. Then slowly the combinations started trickling out and Sirenko began to light up Carmack with slashing body hooks and 1-2s up top.

Carmack is gassed, unsurprisingly (he is morbidly obese, and packing at least B cups...droopy ones ). Sirenko just having his way with him, jabbing him in the face to prod him against the ropes and then working the body with both hands. Carmack clinching and deflecting, occasional overhands flailed half-assed...but he's a KO waiting to happen at this rate. Way too many rounds remaining.

Marc Abrams saying some SILLY crap tonight on commentary.

First he compared Carmack to Andy Ruiz while making the point that you can't tell a book by its cover during the first ninety seconds when he was doing okay-ish.

Now he's saying that Sirenko reminds him of heavyweight champ Alex Bavakin (think he means Povetkin) - but with better skills.

Just...stop invoking the names of other fighters altogether.

 

30-27 Sirenko - don't think it'll be much longer. Carmack has never been past eight and he's already become a punching bag.

 

Big right hand, scores a knockdown and opens a cut by Carmack's left eyebrow. Carmack beats the count but his corner or the ring physician yank him - unclear which.

"We're going to see big things outta Vlad Sirenko!"

Really? Because as of tonight he's 22-0 and his biggest wins are the corpses of Rudenko, Bakhtov and Ustinov.

This wasn't exactly a step in the right direction.
