The way Al Haynesworth is talking about his "good friend" Krista Dudley, man definitely hit that.

 

There was another bout listed on the BoxRec page for the card (Ryan Díaz vs. Raquan Aikeim Ashby, 4 rounds @ cruiserweight) but apparently we're vaulting straight into the co-main events now!

Maybe they're withholding that one for a walkout, else maybe it got canceled.

Round 1

Cobia rolling out a cautious left jab and circling. McCall following, pawing out with both hands, range-finding in slow motion. McCall gets closer and tries some clubbing shots. Cobia intercepting what he can on his palms, but flinching whenever McCall throws in combination. Cobia walked into the ropes. Hooks and overhands from McCall. Cobia shells up and pushes away. McCall turns southpaw and starts pushing out a right jab, then hooking off it. McCall toying with Cobia. Diving clinch by Cobia. McCall walks forward, hands by his sides, lifting them at the last second to block a couple of Cobia jabs. McCall with a predatory smirk.

Cobia has a bloody mouth and mouse under his eye already.

 

The bell rings for round two, but instead of fighting the contestants embrace in the middle of the ring. Cobia's team had apparently indicated they were quitting before the round began and the ringside timekeeper wasn't made aware.

Emcee confirms it went down as officially a first round stoppage... meaning we're six for six on this card.

 

McCall gives a quick interview. He thanks Jesus and Cobia, then says he is all shook up emotionally inside, "being who I am ", then says he feels ready for some real 'oppositions'. The ring emcee asks if he wants to call out aybody specifically and McCall shrugs "just real oppositions like I was saying".

 

If he were to call somebody out at this stage, McCall should look at somebody he's got unfinished business with and who recently started a comeback at the same time he did.

Marcin Mieczysław "Rex" Rekowski fought last November, actually just two weeks before McCall stopped Stacy Frazier in his CountryBox debut. Neither man had fought in several years before that (McCall in 2019, Rekowski 2018)
