Main Event wont be showing any international overseas matches until the Manny Pacquiao vs David Diaz card on June 29th.

Dissapointingly they are showing a UFC event on June 8th instead of Kelly Pavlik's 1st title defense.

I dont understand why FOX Sports dont telecast the smaller HBO & Showtime cards, similar to what Sky do in the UK.

Boxing coverage is so ordinary in this country.
Heavily frustrated & have made my complaints known.:yep

Fox Sports whole weekend is taken up with AFL, NRL and Super 14. they would have no room to show live boxing cards on a Sunday afternoon.

It is very frustrating being a boxing fan in Australia. We see f#ck all of the major fights from throughout the world and when the pay tv companies decide to show us a little bit of pity and televise it we have to cough up $$$$$ to watch it. I'm sure the tv companies have a wry grin on their faces. The same main event cards we usually pay $40/$50 for are being shown free on pay tv in Europe and America. eg. Calzaghe vs Hopkins wasn't ppv in England or America.
Netball gets 100 times more coverage in Australia and no one wants to watch it, woman included. It's just politically correct to show it.
I realise that only a minority of general sports fans follow boxing but imo when you cough up for pay tv we shouldn't be missing any of the major fights from around the world and only the very very big super-fights should be ppv.
It is impossible to follow boxing closely without a computer and internet broadband.

Barge dont try & look for excuses so FOX Sports dont show it.

Why not even a same day delayed telecast, if both rugby codes & AFL are shown at the same time.
Super 14 is hardly ever live on a sunday arvo.:deal
What are we asking like 2-3 hours every 2nd week, & if they are so keen keep the odd huge match on PPV.

Aussie fight fans get screwed when it comes to live fights.

What's worse is having to listen to General ****nut and friends from HBO, who call every punch thrown from their own fighters but chat about bull**** when the other fighter's doing well.

    ****S.

Recently got the Mayweather collection, **** that was a laugh. Early in his career the old ***** Larry Limpdick was all over Floyd's dick...couldn't get enough of him. As his career rolls on Old Limpdick gets frustrated because Floyd want s to fight in a style that doesn't suit Larry's taste, until it gets to a stage where all he does is ****ing moan and groan like a 60 year old virginal ***** getting gang banged....

    ****'n old hag.

**** MainEvent. My last Fox bill was $217. When I asked why they said one month plus ppv (Cotto/Marg 90 minute value for money?) and a Mundine card. When I shreiked my protests they informed me that it was a Mundine PPV from last year (Clavero). Coincidentally this is the same month I got a $70 rebate out of them for a dodgy IQ box that saw me lose two months of boxing. Why they never bothered to inform me over the last 12 months is their business I guess.
    So whats the alternative...none.
I'll just keep lubing up and bending over waiting for the next one.

PS If anyones after collections of a fighter pm me, have some and have some trustworthy people o/seas I can recommend.

PPS ****, I just admitted I paid money for a Choc fight...

Some of those Top Rank & Golden Boy telefutura cards are damn good.
I wouldnt mind seeing ShoBox ones & all the other HBO Boxing After Dark ones.
I guess thats way too much to ask.

At least we get the odd top rank Versus card like 2 months delayed.

Foxtel's/Mainevent's coverage of boxing has gone completely downhill since it's inception. I remember watching big fights like Nigel Benn v Steve Collins II, Michael Moorer v Axel Schulz, Lonnie Bradley v Lonnie Beasley, Holyfield v Czyz, Lewis v Mercer, Witherspoon v Gonzalez for free on Foxsports.

Big fights that were Pay-per-view were then shown on replay for free on the Sunday night. It's a total joke what they do now, as proven by the fact that arse kickings like Cotto v Gomez cost punter's $40/$50.

Yeah that is why i do not pay for them anymore, i just download them or watch a stream, but i am tempted by the Cotto Vs Margarito fight.

Main Event have me set to pay for the Pacman fight & Cotto vs Margo.
I sure as hell aint paying for Bumdine's beatdown of a junior middleweight again.:yep

I dont mind Main Event having a Boxing PPV for big matches like once a month, provided FOX Sports televised the smaller cards like from Showtime, HBO BAD, Versus, Telefutura etc. like Sky do in the UK.

But instead the only boxing we do get is PPV's, & the usual 15 odd live Friday Night Fights cards a year of our local boxing.
Thank god they show that, to help promote some of our young talent.
On that note, the July 11 card from Victoria that will be live on FOX, looks one of the worst i have ever seen.

What do you mean, that they automatically order it for you?
Yeah Mundince should not have a problem with him, but i am not sure if he will have an impressive showing like their second bout.

I wish Main Event did automatically order it for me, as i order nearly all the overseas bouts.
Sorry for the Golden Boy nuthuggers, but Top Rank puts the best cards from top to bottom no doubt.:deal

Yeah Mundine should win easy again.
Its just a waste of everyone's time & effort.
Cant be bothered, so im off to the pub for it.:deal
