Can you translate that or is your Spanish as good as mine?

Stevens keeps it thankfully brief, says he's ready to go and climb to the top.

He thanks the fans and promoters.

KD says when she signed Kovalev, the first question he asked was unusual.

Typically boxers will ask what the easiest path is to a title shot, or how many tune-ups they get. He simply wanted to know how quickly she could guide him to a title.

Nope. The interpreter says that Sergey has been here three years, he can speak for himself. He is just re-introducing him.

The interpreter (and also trainer?) says that Kovalev has a one-track mind: become champion.

He's going to let him take the stand himself to practice his English. If he needs help, he'll be standing by for translation.

Kovalev thanks everyone for bringing him here. He says it's an honor to be here and main eventing. He turns and thanks Gabriel Campillo for taking the fight. He thanks anyone who spends money on this promotion.

He then recaps by thanking everyone altogether once more.

Campillo takes the stand and apologizes that his English isn't as good as Kovalev's (it sounds OK to me) so he'll be proceeding in Spanish.

Campillo (through a translator) says this is important for him and he's been training long and hard. He is proud to represent the Latino community.

He says after this weekend, he wants to be thankful for having received the opportunity and continue to climb upward.

He is hopeful that everybody is entertained on Saturday.

Someone from press row asks Campillo if he is nervous about getting robbed again.

Campillo says that what goes through a fighter's mind is to go in there and knock his opponent out, get rid of him quick. It's not that easy, though, as the other guy wants to win too.

Ayala is asked about whether emotions will play into his battle with Stevens (there has been some trash talk).

He says no, he will keep calm. If Stevens is mad (over Ayala saying he's no Arthur Abraham) so be it but that won't affect how he goes about his business.

Campillo is asked about his training, in Spain.

He says it was easier because he was near his children and family. He felt more comfortable than when he trained in California.

Ayala says he's happy with new trainer Marshall Kaufman. He's a local guy, so they click, and he's also a "beast" and pushes him.
