No matter what you believe, as a person who loves boxing you have to agree.

Team Pac screwed the pooch on this one.

then they will also know that the testing was sub standard and a joke, much like MLBs has been in the past

Too early to see how Manny's legacy will be affected by this. Lets revisit this topic in about a years time.

    The facts are:

    - Pacquaio is following up this fiasco by taking on the toughest available welter out there (Clottey)

-He's fought the best out there and has the best resume of any active fighter

-He has never tested positive or linked to any PED's, only by an unfounded accusation.

-Mayweather has a history or avoiding the best competition in his weight class for the last 4-5 years.

What if Pacquiao beats Clottey and unifies the belts at welter with the Mosley/Berto winner?

What if Mayweather continues to fight subpar opposition?

These are the looming questions that will be answered in 2010 and into the future.

Fans remember glory. The more glory Pacquiao accumalates, the more this drug test fiasco will become a footnote.

    History will favour Pac

    Wrong.

Manny is fighting the guy who lost to the guy who he just beat.

Manny is fighting a fighter from his own camp that won't ask for any testing.

    Those are the facts. :deal

History may favor the Manny but only because people are mostly too lazy to understand complex relationships.

Do you think that PBF will promote or advocate Olympic style drug testing in professional boxing to make boxing a clean drug free sport? Or is it just for one time with Manny Pacquiao. If you do random blood tests on one then test them all.

Mayweather manager Elebre or however it's spelled said that Mayweather will have this drug testing in place for any fight he takes on from here on out.

Point is Clottey is a fight against a big strong welterweight who some thought beat Cotto. Clottey is a former IBF champ.

Have you looked at the board? Some people are even picking Clottey to beat Pacquaio.

The only people ripping the Clottey fight are people who hate on Pac, (like yourself:D)

Now, if Floyd follows this up fighting Hatton/Malignaggi/etc, who is going to look better? Especially given Floyd's history.

Fact is Cotto/Clottey is better than anything Floyd has done at welterweight and if Floyd fights these rumoured opponents his legacy will take a greater hit than Manny's.

Your Top Rank matchmaking point, is an unsubstantiated conspiracy theory. Golden Boy is requiring blood tests from fighters who fight them now (they have to that because their credibility is shot). But best believe if Mosley/Pac is talked about Mosley will tell Golden Boy to screw the blood tests and he has the clout to do that as he is part owner.

What happens if Pacquaio fights Mosley? He'll be known as the guy who fought a guy Mayweather was terrified of.

Floyd BETTER fight a legit 147 fighter, because Manny is not going to stop fighting top opposition. If he doesn't this blood test will reflect on Mayweather as his way of avoiding Pacquiao and ducking the fight.

Manny is all for a fair match I don't think the Pac camp is asking Mayweather to take any tests that Manny doesn't wanna take.

If you wanna be pedantic then its not a really a fair match since Floyd has the weight advantage but I think Manny's shown he's willing to give Floyd that edge.

The same lazy people that say "Ali was loved". Right.

The same lazy people that don't see EVERY expert calling Manny full of it, (Victor Conte and Dr. Caitlin)

The same lazy people that don't remember that Pac changed his stance on testing numerous times up to this point.

The same lazy people that don't realize Shane Mosely was doping, fighting in Vegas, and was NEVER caught by their testing.

    Those lazy people.

Wrong. I like Clottey. I think he is a decent fighter. I also think he beat Cotto. What I don't think is he is a "better" fight than Mayweather/Pacquio and worth the switch.

The only people not seeing the connection of Arum and EVERY fight that doesn't happen at WW and Mayweather are fools.

The point is that there are no more "top" WW that aren't engaged in a match AND not under the Top Rank banner. If there are list them! And don't say Paul Williams because I don't want to see him cut to 147 and not feel great. I want PW to fight at WW first, look good, THEN take on Mayweather.

Unsubstantiated? You are again a fool. List them side by side. Top Rank WW and fighters Mayweather allegedly ducked. Bing! Same list!

Caitlin was wrong when he made that bold sweeping statement about urine being unable to detect Micera. In June or July Ricardo Ricco was caught using Micera by AFLD thru a urine test.

Then later that month, WADA formerly declared their current urine test detected Micera or CERA, depending on the patent you go by.

Also, it really shows how far out of the loop Caitlin is as compared to WADA. Since WADA has known well ahead of time about the next generation of EPOs, but had been hush about it until springing the tests on the unaware. But really, its all old news cuz this test is over a year old now.

Just some info you know, for the lazy people.

Whether urine can detect all PEDs is irrelevant now.

This whole issue has created a huge cloud over Manny and his legacy. Whether legitimate or not, it's happened.

The only way to remove this cloud is to take the tests requested by Mayweather, who seems to be open to extending the cut off date.
