He tested positive twice for ostarine and once for meldonium. The guy was a walking pharmacy.

Wow. Surprised I’ve never thought about this fight before Damn interesting matchup.

Both at their peak… I’d actually go with Briedis by a hard fought close decision. I do think Marius gets dropped once or twice though. Prime Povetkin was awesome.

The only thing with Breidis is that he could be a bit hit or miss; he gave Usyk by far his hardest fight and pushed him all the way, and a few months later he was underwhelming against Mikaeljan. Saying that assuming Breidis turns up then I think he would beat Povetkin; both fighters were skilled, heavy punchers but the difference is Breidis' chin IMO. Povetkin can be hurt, dropped and stopped, whilst I don't think anyone could stop Breidis even armed with a baseball bat, so Breidis by stoppage IMO.

While I agree that Briedis was the more complete fighter, boxing math doesn’t really work. Briedis didn’t do much to Perez while Povetkin completely annihilated him.

Bredis honestly, Povetkin seemed to be fairly weak to pressure from what im seen of him and thats Bredis whole game.
