Pound for pound. His ko's happened at 175 lbs. He did not have that kind of power at heavyweight. Usyk and Opetaia are naturally around 210 lbs or so. Spinks was a greater puncher p4p but in terms of actual power? I doubt it.
Supposedly Spinks used to do many miles in combat boots running on cement(sidewalks) or other hard surfaces to the point where he destroyed the cartilage in BOTH of his knees and was unable to move like he once moved which resulted in movement looking like Spinks was drunk at times. While Spinks was always awkward and had a unique style you can see that while he was still pretty good at moving he had to move in a weird way and in his heavyweight bouts especially he looks like he is about to fall down when he is moving.
A guy who (by comparison) never did anything versus one of the greatest fighters of all time. Only on Eastside...
Breidis on his VERY VERY best day isn't a fraction as good as even the past primed Holmes that Spinks faced. Stop this nonsense thread. Spinks and it's not close.
Holmes is more skilled than anything Usyk has faced, I'll say that. Who did Breidis beat? That leads you to pick him over one the top 20-25 greatest fighters ever. Or, what i assume is, this your attempt to suck off Usyk.
No . I merely think a match up between a great smaller fighter like Spinks and a very very good naturally bigger fighter like Breidis is an interesting close matchup.
Spinks defeated a whole assortment of dangerous fighters . Once again Spinks rises to the challenge and prevails on pts .
