This is a move im hoping he does make . briedis is an excellent fighter . i know he is in his mid 30's but the guy box.... He'd be a great addition to the heavyweight division . how do you all think he'd do against Fury , AJ based off his performances. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.bo...riedis-considering-a-move-to-heavyweight/amp/
Normal choice btw. For example the same Glowacki does have considerably lesser chances vs 212-215 lbs version of Briedis than vs Briedis that should weight in in 200 lbs limit before fight. Usyk I think too might feel more comfortable with weight in weight more than 200 lbs. They still are small for HW but without weight limit keep up might feel more comfortable, less prone to damages.
Głowacki might be my favourite fighter in the entire sport right now, but he has no chance vs any Briedis. As seen when they actually fought and he was demolished.
If Briedis really will move to HW, Glowacki does have chances in CW division. If he will defeat Okolie and ref. He does not hit less harder and watches for any mistake but is less versatile and mobile than Briedis. Otherwise if landed, proper punch from him is not worse than from Usyk or Briedis, probably even Povetkin. Huck almost destroyed him but single mistake, after this ..........
Breidis gets stopped against any of the super heavies, unfortunately. He's 6 ft 1 for God's sakes. At least Usyk and Gassiev are 6 ft 3.
Funny how a CW is able to score one of the most savage HL reel one punch KOs of recent times in the HW division against a much bigger career HW but none of the other HWs Diamond Boy fought could even come close to doing that to him.
He looked great against Dorticos so hopefully he's still got a couple of good years left in him to try and achieve something up there even though he's getting on in years now. He's strong in all departments and I think his speed will be accentuated against those big lumbering oafs and there will be more openings and opportunities to land with his power shots too. The other day Andy Lee said that Briedis was tough and elusive and didn't get caught very often by Wlad when the Klitschko brothers used to have him over in camp for sparring and that he'd get in good shots of his own too and James Ali Bashir also said he was one of the few fighters he'd never seen get hurt who'd sparred over 30 rounds with Wlad (they sparred a lot more than that).
I actually think briedis skill and power make him a deadlier combination than usyk at heavyweight. Id favor briedis over whyte
