He's got skills, that's for sure, Charr KO is an absolute eye candy, but I doubt that he'll beat Usyk, Mairis just doesn't box like that. When the fight happens I'm still rooting for him tough The only Latvian who "made it" to the top.
Briedis used to be a sparring partner for Wlad. When Chef posted here, he raved about him well before boxing fans knew who he was. The dude is the real deal. It's almost a shame it took so long for him to get his break, but he's making the most of it now.
Yes. It's also a shame for him that he has to prove himself against Usyk. If Briedis loses that one people may never realize how good he actually was. In my view all of Usyk, Briedis and Gassiev have the potential to be a force at HW. If Usyk decisions Briedis and Gassiev both may well be able to have success at HW regardless.
