Briedis is stepping through and jabbing high up the center lane. Venter is popping a quick light jab into Brieidis' guard. Flash knockdown scored off a Brieidis right hand behind the ear, temporarily sapping Venter's equilibrium. Venter up in a hurry. Brieidis patiently working from mid-range with straight punches, steering clear of Venter's power with lateral movement.

Round 2

Brieidis is using beautiful movement to keep Venter whirling and lunging. Counter left hook from Brieidis, delivered from chest-height, wobbles Venter. Brieidis is strafing by Venter, keeping a step ahead, left foot always just outside Venter's stance, limiting Venter's ability to get a bead on him with his own right hand. Another big counter 1-2 from Brieidis and Venter is down. He's up but turns in the wrong direction to face Brieidis as his corner throws in the white towel. Ref waves it off.

Venter deeply upset with that, pouting at his corner man.
