Bolotniks with some polish (no pun intended on his victim's nationality ) could develop into a solid European title contender. He thinks he's slicker than he is with the pull-back defensive style, which he lacks the speed or agility for and which could be a problem - but give him a seasoned & knowledgeable trainer and there is some talent present which could be nurtured to bring him a bit of success. Doubt he ever cracks a world top fifteen or anything, but I'll definitely be watching for him again. Big power in that right.

 

Sergei Shigashev vs. Yevheniy Kondratenko, 6 rounds @ light middleweight

 

All four of the Ukrainian's wins have come against guys making their pro debut or with an exactly 0-1 record.

 

That is probably the next-biggest match on the card after Kulikauskis vs. Ekimov, as Kozaev is probably the biggest non-Latvian name appearing today, but that one is a true mismatch. His opponent is a freaking Georgian. atsch

My guess is that Kozaev vs. Gviniashvili will be after this, followed by the light heavies and cruisers in the co-main events. I assume the 4-rounders were all completed before the broadcast started, or will be saved for walkout bouts after it ends.

Two hours left on Match!'s time slot for this, and we have potentially thirty rounds of boxing to get through after this contest.

Shiggy putting in that work. I like the left uppercut. He throws it from a bit far out, dauntless, but he's quick enough to get away with it and keeps his chin tucked and doesn't linger in the pocket long after landing.

 

Really potent deterrent, the right hook/left cross counter combo.
