Huh, that's surprising, Kozaev eked out a SD in January over Rénald Garrido. (the Frenchman that upset Bradley Saunders)

 

I like how they keep things moving on this card, no time wasted (except that first half an hour of video hype pieces)

 

Arturs Kulikauskis vs. Sergei Ekimov, 10 rounds @ light heavyweight

 

Been looking forward to this one. :happy

 

Kulikauskis is the southpaw, in black; Ekimov the orthodox boxer in red - for anyone that missed the intros.

 

Plus their names are on their waistbands anyway.

 

Round 1

Kulikauskis is sticking the right jab, first snapping it and then wrist-flicking to back Ekimov up. Counter right cannonball by Ekimov, drawing his elbow behind his back to load up. Kulikauskis takes them, leaning back to ride with them, but stays on Ekimov throwing right hooks and scything upward lefts on the body. Kulikauskis a little noodle-armed with his punches, loose, but keeping busy. Ekimov ineffective without space to breathe. Kulikauskis giving up height but keeping a constant precipitation on Ekimov. A right hand occasionally scores for Ekimov, briefly stunning Kulikauskis.

What? Ekimov went down? Or was that from a foul?

I just caught a snippet of the last 10-15 seconds, where Ekimov chases Kulikauskis into the ropes and he gets his entire head underneath the top one and gets stuck.
