    Great atmosphere. And we're off! Quiet start, finding their range. Perez left to the body. Perez attacks. Big RH from Briedis, Perez takes it well. Perez takes the round on activity.

    Briedis not moving much, boxing in the centre of the ring with Perez. Perez landed a couple jabs and a straight left. Perez active with the jab. Briedis landed a good hook, and another at the end of the round. Perez solid and took the first. 1-0 Perez.

    Both throwing jabs at each other, both trying to find the range, Perez a southpaw, Briedis orthodox, Perez lunges in, Briedis holds, Perez lands straight left to body, Briedis lands slapping one two, then nails Perez with a right, the ref warns Perez for rabbit punching, lefts landing from Mike, right hook clips Mairis, he spins out, ugly first round.

    Perez not getting outclassed at all. Close boxing, both landed a couple straight shots behind their jabs. Briedis might have slightly edged it. 1-1.
